Why?

Jones Island Blues exists because music has become sterile, antiseptic, processed, contrived.

The antithesis to contemporary generica, Knotkwite White and Flip Hurrover deliver a genre that is simultaneously raspy and tender, pure and evil, delicate and powerful.

Jones Island is also the name of an industrialized marsh island between the Milwaukee and Kinnickinnic rivers, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The island houses, among other things, a sewage treatment plant and Milwaukee’s smallest outdoor recreational area, Kaszube’s Park.
